Succulent Plants
This group of plants are generally xerophytic;
plants that have water storage leaves.
Aloe, Agave &Yucca species are included.
They grow in warm, dry regions, but can be coaxed
into performining in colder climates with special care.

Aloe polyphylla is espsecially intriguing in that it has leaves arranged in a spiral. Wonderful as a pot plant growing to 12 inches at maturity

These succulents work nicely as potted patio plants in colder climates. They can be brought into the house or even into a warm garage for the winter. This Agave attenuata is definitely a zone 10 plant from central Mexico, but does well as a pot plant in warm summer areas.

Many leaf colors and shapes ,as well as overall plant form add interest. This is a Yucca filamentosa which can be planted outside in the garden zones 5 to 9 as well as potted for outside in colder climates. Several cultivars with variegated leaves are offered
